2nd-Dec-2006 01:39 am - Some People Suck Sometimes...
Scrat
Excuse me, but I really must rant this evening. Some people's rudeness, self-centerdness and inconsideration is just really irksome sometimes. The unwillingness of some folks to lend a hand and help out somebody in need is just ridiculous. On my way home from work tonight, I decided to stop by the video store to see if there was anything worth seeing. As I came to an intersection across from the video store, I slid into the left hand turn lane and stopped at the light. Next to me, in the middle lane, a woman in a mini-van had broken down. She was standing behind the van on her cell phone looking understandably upset. The light changed, so I drove into the parking lot in front of the video store and walked back to where she was stuck. Cars were whizzing by her, honking their horns at her, but nobody was stopping to help! I crossed the street and asked her if she needed help pushing her car out of the street. Luckily, about 30 seconds after I got there, another guy showed up to help. Good thing too, I wasn't sure how I was going to push that mini-van out of the street all by myself. She was so happy and so thankful that she was almost in tears, she was explaining to us that she had a couple of kids in the van and she didn't know what she was going to do and all. I felt really bad for her because I know what it's like to get stuck when your car breaks down. So anyway, this guy and I start pushing the van, but we've got to get into the right lane so we can take a right and head for the parking lot to get the car out of the way of traffic. Well, a bunch of a-holes were trying to zip by us on the right, not allowing us to move over! I literally had to step in front of traffic and yell at these idiots to get them to stop and let us over. We finally made the turn and had to push the car about 100 yards or so to the driveway. The idiots behind us could clearly seeing that we were pushing the van. Now I think that most people would come to the logical conclusion that we weren't pushing the van for fun and that it had probably broken down. But apparently we inconvenienced their dumb asses for a couple of minutes and they were upset about it, flashing their lights, honking their horns and yelling at us. It was really irritating and I finally snapped, giving these idiots the finger and yelling a few four letter bombs back at them. I just couldn't believe that these people, seeing that we were trying to help somebody out, couldn't cut us a little freaking slack. We were off the street in minutes, but that apparently was too much of an inconvenience for the self-absorbed asshats. I find it really, really sad that some folks won't take a few minutes out of their lives to help somebody in need. And on top of that, to be completely rude and inconsiderate to those that do. F**k those people, man. I hope they find their stockings filled with coal or rabid rats or something on xmas morning. Bastards. I'm glad that the other guy, I never got his name, stopped to help. It was really nice of him to do so. And the lady, I never got her name either, was so thankful and so sweet. It was nice to be able to help somebody out that was in need. All I can hope is that when some of those idiots that were giving us crap find themselves in a similar situation, stuck in the middle of the street, that nobody stops to help them, that people do all of the stupid crap, the flashing of the lights, the honking of the horn and the yelling at them.. Maybe then, they'll stop to think before they act like idiots to those in a bad spot. Maybe, they'll even be more inclined to give somebody a helping hand. Fu**ers.
